    “Just past the über-popular cholla garden is the Ocotillo Patch, which IMHO is yet more shocking and amazing and worth experiencing if you want to offset all the rock-seeing with some plant-seeing. The Ocotillo bushes grow about 8 feet high and bloom with red flowers in the spring. They are imposing, a little scary, and Biblical-feeling. Probably one of my favorite desert plants.”
