Traci Fleming“Featured in The Wonderlyst #128 I know we’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but this is one of those rare exceptions. Carter Were’s self-published cookbooks are beautifully assembled, with photographs by her twin sister Harry and artwork by her sister-in-law Chloe. The sisters even built a tiny freestanding kitchen and studio so Harry could photograph the recipes in natural light. The recipes are simple, seasonal, and designed to bring children into the kitchen without becoming children’s cookbooks. It’s family cooking in the best sense of the phrase: meals adults will happily make, older kids can confidently tackle on their own, and younger ones can help prepare alongside. Between them, Carter and Harry are raising five children, and that experience shows up on every page. Even better, all three editions are now available to order together and finally ship internationally.”
