L&E Oyster Bar

“This place has never gone out of style - I’m only sharing because I only eat out like three times a year and I want this place to thrive so I can!”

“A white negroni, chilled gamay, green salad, a half do oysters, and burger and fries. The best.”

“This recommendation (for hotness) is specifically for the upstairs bar at L&E. The lighting is low, the seating is nice, and there is a little outdoor patio that overlooks Silver Lake Blvd that you can grab if you’re lucky! The menu is a truncated version of the full restaurant downstairs, but you could easily have a delicious dinner with its selection.”

“Kate Berlant: I've been laughed at for how much I really like this restaurant. They have my favorite shrimp cocktail in America. Actually, I'll expand it globally because I don't have a favorite one lingering in France. You've got the downstairs restaurant and upstairs is a bar. So basically, I'm trying to say it's great for a date. Dinner downstairs and then go, let's have a cocktail upstairs after, so it's like a two-in-one. People know that I've been an L&E champion for a while.”
