“I have to admit it’s been years since I read this book and I should probably read it again, but it was the start of a beautiful relationship between me and Family history mysteries. Something I love about stories like this is they often take place on multiple timelines. So you have the current timeline and you have some timeline in the past or multiple timelines in the past. It just adds so much depth to a story. The main character of this story is treated like an outsider in the only community she has ever known simply because her mother was not of that community. Even though she was not raised by and does not know her mother since she disappeared when the girl was young. It’s a sad story, like many of this ilk. But worth a read.”
