MiaFirst to rec“Freekeh is an ancient grain that we eat in Lebanon/Palestine/Syria/etc., I grew up eating it but never saw people eating it in the US & I think it’s because nobody sells it. I saw it at Cookbook in Echo Park maybe 5 years ago (or more). It’s naturally slightly smoky & really good when you cook it with zucchini, carrots or other vegetables. I used to eat it with leban (yogurt) & mint”
