“A movie where I felt like both main characters. The Midwestern summer is palpable and comforting to me. Watched this movie before going to Columbus, Indiana, where it was filmed. The small city is a treasure trove of Modernist architecture because Joseph Irwin Miller, the chairman of the biggest company in the town, was wealthy with good taste. (this type of person has gone extinct, imo) He also believed that good architecture and art should be accessible to everyone. Highly recommended you spend a weekend there drooling over these buildings, walking around at night looking into lit-up buildings from the outside forlornly.”
