I have personally begged multiple friends to watch it and they have IGNORED me. I don’t watch a lot of TV these days (not bc I’m above it, you should see some of the books I read), but this show is really the peak and I cannot wait till June.”

Mallory Carra“This is a review for Interview With The Vampire (Seasons 1 and 2), because the show completely reboots/reinvents itself in Season 3 as The Vampire Lestat (which will get a separate review). A dear friend has spent years obsessed with this show, so in my summertime freedom, I decided to give it a watch. (Light spoilers ahead) Season 1 is a story about found family, sexuality, toxic relationships, and...fatherhood (?? kind of). Jacob Anderson carries this season as Louis, while Sam Reid has a great time as Lestat and I'm happy for him. Season 2 drags a bit, even though it's in Paris! There's a thee-ay-ter coven for Claudia, but it is not interesting or engaging enough. Louis heals from his relationship with Lestat by walking into a relationship with an older, more toxic vampire, Armand. Claudia is annoying. There is 90% less Lestat...but that gets rectified in Season 3, at least so far.”
