“This is the text that catalyzed my interest in returning to school again. Violence and images continuously take on new shape, but it never fails to be an eerie feeling to find ourselves trapped in the cycles of repetition. I’m particularly interested in how violence is reiterated through casual image making in memes or short form videos. It is interesting to think about the lineage of photography to photoslop that so dominate our internet. I am always wondering if it is a possibility to criticize violence without outlining the exact method of it.”
