“This book was one of my most formative reads on modern work of course I read it during my transition into freelance work and all of my gangster rebellion against salary labor. Well, it confirmed many of my pre-existing biases. It also proved what I had long suspected about people who excel in salaried work: Most of them do not work for fulfillment. They work for paychecks… and paychecks are not a direct reflection of value-add. I think this book should be mandatory reading for high school students And employers alike. Once you read it, it will never leave you alone.”
