“This book just hit me exactly the right way- I laughed more than I have from any book in a while. It's super funny if you like meta humor with lots of pop culture references to movies, video games, Lord of the Rings, and such. The lead character Davi is not always likable- she is sick and tired of trying to save the world while stuck in a time loop and decides she's done and why not become Dark Lord herself. So she's used to manipulating people to get what she wants and not caring too much when anyone dies because they'll just come back in the next loop. But her character arc that continues into the next book is great and there's still lots of heart underneath all the sarcasm and cursing. Some people may not like her casual use of sex or her horny comments in general (written by a man) but I think it does fit her character and she does eventually learn the consequences of this attitude. Also there's some solid fantasy world-building. lore, and action throughout which the author is experienced at from his other series (though I haven't read those). Highly recommend!”
