Catan

“A classic. Endless expansions. I love it. I also got really addicted to the online version for a long time (black forest is the best board to play online), highly recommend both.”

“Truly my friends’ and my fav game - the learning curve is basically nil, it’s immediately engaging and each time you play you get more and more into the strategy. ORRR you can just play super loose with no strategy and it’s STILL fun for everyone xx”

“Truthfully, I didn’t want to like this game. The premise is 😬. But it takes big time strategy and skill to win, and every game is unique, making it extremely fun to play with a group. It has become a staple of game night and the birthplace of many an inside joke (queue “I am complete” at the end of your turn).”

“A classic for a reason. The goal of this game is to simply reach 10 points. What I love is the endless variations of how to get those points. Build settlements and cities, get the longest road, pick up a development card. There are so many ways to win, which means so many ways to strategize and adapt. Plus, the game board is ever changing and each time you set it up, it’s a whole new game. Highly recommend playing over and over on a snow day (or really any type of day).”
