“Part of a former industrial complex in Shanghai's Jing'an Temple area, the block is the latest building that Neri&Hu has converted into its own offices as the studio has expanded since it was formed in 2004. It's no accident that the offices architecture studios design for themselves are among our favorites. It's a display of creativity only bound by the limits of the office's creators. Of course there is something to the constraints that client's budget and relative conservatism impose, but there is also something to those two things being entirely absent.
