    “A classic for a reason, as they say. It’s very flawed and kind of a strange book (famous for Orientalism, obviously, and he goes SO hard on the God stuff in the second half), but it is also a hoot and a reminder that the novel was basically invented as entertainment and can we all calm down a little and have some fun with it?? Also did you know that they aren’t so much using holy water in this book as crushed-up Eucharist wafers?? Let’s bring that back. I’m also kind of mad they made that Renfield movie in 2023 because he is kind of a gorgeous tragic character and there’s some really fun adaption opportunities there…”
