Caliban and the Witch

“the always brilliant silvia federici put together a seminal text examining peasant revolts/the commons, witch hunts, and how mechanical philosophy (looking at you descartes) in the name of capitalism set us up today. I reference this book regularly and highly recommend her other texts, namely ‘revolution at point zero: housework, reproduction, and feminist struggle’ And ‘re-enchanting the world: feminism and the politics of the commons’. love her foreverrrr”

“Modern witchcraft (read as: politically aware, anti-capitalist, and historically attuned) is rooted in the work of Silvia Federici. Learn about the witch hunts, the enclosure of the commons, and the industrialization of time. Prepare for a grounded yet magical paradigm shift.”
