A Short Stay in Hell

“I came closer to wrapping my head around the idea of infinity while reading this book than I think I ever will again. It's described as psychological or existential horror - and it is those things - but it's so much more. I came away from this experience with a better understanding of love and faith and the absolute ridiculousness of life, and I cannot stop thinking about it. A very short read and worth every minute. Ironically, I wanted it to go on forever.”

“Do you ever try to think about the universe and then think about yourself in the context of the universe - not just in space but also in time? Do you like the way thinking about it kinda breaks your brain? If so, you might like this book. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you still might like this book.”

“This is a quick read (90ish pages), but packs a punch. About a man who dies and ends up in hell, but hell is a vast library and in order to get out he has to find a book about his life. It’s unsettling, but such a fascinating take on the afterlife. I loved it.”

“A novella that challenges the idea of desiring eternity…and stays with you long after you finish it”

“A quick read, in which the protagonist finds himself in a version of hell which is akin to Borges' Library of Babel. Super interesting, and could finish in an afternoon!”
