“Love, love love. We had our first big stress test of our Jackery generator (Explorer 2000 Plus) and solar panels yesterday because of a power failure at 7 p.m. on the hottest day of the year. We already lost a refrigerator full of food to the infamous LG Linear Compressor, and I wasn't about to have it happen again in the same year. After two hours of no power, and no estimate for restoration, I plugged the fridge into the battery (at 77%), and then the battery into the wall. The readout said at the current draw rate of 80 - 100W, it would keep the fridge running for 11 hours. (By then, we might be touch-and-go for a few hours until the sun would be up and start charging the battery again.) The power came back on at some point overnight.
