AMB“This feels like a brain freeze (so it’s a bit shocking at first and high key distracts you from your headache pain for a bit). But in a werid way it feels good. There are other cooling eye masks that look like superhero masks (with the eyes cutout) that may be useful to wear as you write the paper because you can still see out of it”

Lael O“this is a gel hat you can put in the freezer and wear when you have a headache. when I was pregnant I wore this thing every day. it is heaven. Least sexy item I own but the relief is instantaneous”

Cate Pileggi“These are too cold for me to use right out of the freezer with the compression. Gives me that ice cream headache feeling. But I will use it as a cold pack first, and once it’s less frigid, the compression is soothing.”

Meg“I used to put frozen peas on my head but finally upgraded. I have multiples freezing at all times so I can rotate during an attack. I also bought smell-proof freezer bags so they don’t smell weird and make my nausea worse.”

Kate Marin“one time i thought i was having the World‘s Worst Migraine™️, but actually a tumor in my brain that i didn’t know i even had “exploded” (literal word choice of my neurosurgeon) and was hemorrhaging for over a week straight. no one of course knew what was happening until my insurance cleared me to get an mri two weeks later, but for that entire time i was desperate and tried a bunch of random shit to make the pain stop (including allergy meds, decongestants, relocating to a friends house in case where i was living was infested with toxic mold — all cute thoughts in retrospect). this was the only stupid idea that actually made a difference. it literally numbs your entire head and could not physically be any colder. a colder ice pack does not exist. i would imagine this would be great for an actual migraine. now we wear it when we’re hot (the “helmet” we call it) or injured or just need a moment of frozen solitude. memories!”
