Vidiots

“they are always playing something worth watching, plus they have a huge selection of rentals if you're into that.”

“seeing classic movies at my neighborhood theater. best part: the small popcorn is actually small”

“love walking the aisles of DVD rentals and picking one out to take home and watch with popcorn, brings me right back to hollywood video days in the best way”

“Man I love this place. I got a DVD player off Facebook marketplace just so I could rent DVDs from here. I really love the whole theater experience, too - easier to feel immersed, communal experience, etc. It’s gotten me to watch things I never would have seen otherwise. Also, some movies you should watch on big screen instead of smaller screen (and especially not little screen)”

“Love everything about this one, they program fun movies, and it has a little movie archive store like the criterion closet. but tickets sell out really fast so you gotta get them in advance!!”

“highly underrated photobooth imho. cute decor/great contrast/cash only (still $5 as far as I know - most have gone up to $7) it’s in the video store”

“My favorite LA theater with a VIDEO STORE and really good popcorn.”

“one of my favorite non profits and an undeniably charming independent theater with a wide range of genres and cinematic b sides. not to mention an epic movie rental experience”

“my platonic ideal of a neighborhood theater”

“Theater screenings of classics, nostalgic favorites, indie and art films, and a video rental library for those who miss wandering the aisles of the local video store. A non profit for film lovers and fostering community.”

“See a classic (Batman Forever, dir. by Joel Schumacher, 1995) then mosey to Capri Club to discuss.”
