“This is a super fun cookbook if you're hankering for some retro American food fare or planning on having a Mad Men dinner party (Do people do that? I've been in Alaska too long and assume people are just having all kinds of themed parties in the Lower 48). Throw on that Wilson Pickett album I recommended and make some good ole Watergate salad while you dance to "Land of a 1000 Dances"! I've made vintage coffee cake, slow cooker party meatballs in grape jelly (the easiest appetizer you'll ever make!), ambrosia salad, old-fashioned potato salad, and pineapple upside cake. Loved them all but there is still so much to make!”
