“This one is from Eastern Macedonia on mainland Greece, a father-daughter duo farming at like a thousand feet elevation which is so cool. It's a fuller bodied Assyrtiko but don't let that fool you, the salty mineral finish is everything. Tastes like spiced apples and crackly melon rind and it's the perfect pairing for fried calamari or honestly any salty snack situation. Around $23 and the label is super clean and understated.”

“In preperation for Christopher Nolan’s the Odessy, I read Crice and I was immediately hooked. It’s a retelling of the witch Circe’s life using plot lines from many different Greek epics, most notably the Oddessy. I also am planning a trip to Greece later this month, so the timing couldn’t have been better. I plan on being drunk on Assyrtiko (a Greek white wine that takes like leak ons and sea breeze) for 80% of my waking hours, so I knew I needed to pair this read with my favorite from Domaine Nerantzi”
