Pacaya Volcano

“A volcano hike! I LOVE Guatemala! There are so many things to do and see; it’s a beautiful country and the people are incredibly welcoming. I have ridden a horse up a volcano, roasted marshmallows, and then hiked down. There are guided tours and I know some people who have done sunrise hikes that have enjoyed that.”

“I’ve climbed this active volcano twice and went up once on a horse led by a guide. Breathtaking views…quite literally because you’ll be out of breath when you reach the top. I ran into several different areas where lava was flowing and peaking through the rocks and I slid down the volcano dust on my way back down. It was a blast!”
