“I wish I lived with a Kent O’Connor painting. He lives in LA, paints psychologically-adroit still lifes, Mt. Washington landscapes, portraits of friends, and the stuff of life, but in a very particular way that reminds me a little of a heavier, darker, more depressive Fairfield Porter (but in a good way). I’m a fan! His long run at Mendes Wood in Brussels comes to close this weekend.”
