““He said it’s all in your head, I said, ‘So’s everything.’ But he didn’t get it.” I’ll be honest: when I first heard this song, I think it contributed quite nicely to the existential spiral (some might call it a crash out) of my junior year of college. In the most beautiful way, though. This song makes me feel feminine yet crazy yet wonderful, all at once. I discovered it before I started dating my now-wonderful boyfriend, who would never dismiss one of my crazy ideas (like the notion that everything is all in our heads). Still, this song does a marvelous job of capturing something about womanhood that I think I’ll always be searching for: the freedom to be a little irrational, a little existential, and entirely yourself.”
