“DAY 6 An eerie addition to the Ozploitation scene of the 70s and 80s, Next of Kin follows Linda, a young woman who has inherited a sprawling estate in the Australian countryside left by her mother. Within the estate is a large, active retirement home, where residents are dying under mysterious circumstances. After reading her mum's disturbing diaries and discovering her dead aunt may not be dead, Linda starts thinking this inheritance ain't worth the trouble...but, she's not getting out of this too easy. What really makes this film for me is the incredible synth score by Klaus Schulze (of Tangerine Dream fame). It really adds a depth to the haunted mansion feel of the movie. If you enjoyed the haunted house classic The Changeling with George C. Scott, I think you might like this one. (Currently, on Tubi ;)”
