“Tayari Jones is one of the few authors that writes novels that love on audiobook. I might love Leaving Atlanta more than Kin and An American Marriage. Although all three are so so stellar. They all got to the depths of my heart and the stories captivate me. The way she writes from first person as the characters moves me and churns something within. Her books teach me something about race in our culture that’s hard to convey in non fiction. She is the reason I started a “rec league”. Could not recommend more.”
