“the. most. important. thing. you can do as an adhd/strong marker adhd person is accept your methods. I suffered with shame for many years bc i liked to have a familiar show or movie run while i worked. when i was coming up still working FTE and remote work was a wild fantasy, this was a fireable offense (yes, i used to download things on my phone and hide it in my top drawer while i worked. any means necessary). self study and finding your tricks of the trade and acceptance is key (in the context of task completion and productivity, that is — if you’re accepting things about yourself where it’s preventing you from financial wellbeing or being a effective net positive member of your family/community you need to reconsider. sorry to be harsh but it’s true).”
