“I LOVE TV. But sometimes there are periods where we find ourselves just selecting any ol’ show to fill that gap before bed. Instead, my partner and I have been selecting shorter books (< 150 pages) to read aloud before bed on those nights where the shows we are actually excited to watch aren’t on/available. Maybe shorter books aren’t necessary but it helped us gateway to feel like it wasn’t a huge commitment. (Under the Cover books provides some great recommendations for short books).”
