“My friend Steff is an incredible Toronto jewellery designer known for her goopy silver creations (including the tech ring covers the girls are going wild for). More on her later, but in the meantime, I’m obsessed with the ginormous “engagement” ring she gifted me - made from pink tourmaline and sterling silver, and substantial enough to weigh down my entire hand. I wouldn’t call Steff’s work “trashy” in the bad-taste sense, but the glorious oversizedness of this ring—which looks to me like the greatest gumball-machine prize of all time—fits right in with my late summer M.O.”
