“From the author’s Goodreads review of her work: “Each vignette is intentional. Instead of a book where we added more and more; I wrote a ton then cut most of it. The books moves from hetero life to queer life which is cool to me. There's exploration of divorce, unexplained infertility, queer family making, disenfranchised grief, ambiguous loss, sex as escapism, sex as mental health and getting back into your body. The book feels like the older sibling to Women.” I have zero interest in motherhood, children, fertility etc., and still found the book a compelling read, one of my favorites of the year.”
