Neuecast

“I realized I had a silent habit of playing podcasts in the background constantly—podcast while doing dishes, another while doing laundry, often without really listening. Spotify’s endless recommendations, AI-generated shows, and true crime content made it even easier to treat podcasts as background noise rather than something intentional. What I wanted was more like the old radio experience: knowing what I’m subscribed to, when a new episode comes out, and choosing to tune in. Then I found this app. You have to intentionally search for and subscribe to podcasts, and it shows new episodes chronologically with no clutter or algorithmic feed. I now follow just four podcasts, each releasing roughly one episode every two weeks, and I actually look forward to listening to them.”
