“This covered market is a non negotiable stop for provisioning or a delicious lunch in Menton.
Not far from the marina lies a hidden gem of vendors selling the finest selections of meats, flowers, cheeses, produce and ready to eat sandwiches.
Being from Seattle and growing up near the famous Pike Place Market, a covered local market is equal parts nostalgia and whimsy for me. The produce here looking far fresher than those we found in the markets up the street and we stared longingly at the better looking cousins of items we procured a few hours earlier.
We stocked up on cured meats, sliced to order, sandwiches and other bits for our crossing to the next town.
Not all vendors take card so having a bit of cash on hand is recommended.”
