“The Cycladist is a travel consultancy specializing in Greek islands. They have access to private villas, connections to hotels and the general knowledge to help you make the best decisions about important things (restaurants) and mundane details (ferries and car rentals). They charge a small fee. I would work with them on any future trip. You have a Zoom with co-owner Maira Tagalaki to discuss what you have in mind. In my case it was: simplicity, good food, not an intense scene, no restaurants with DJs. She advised: Sifnos, Folegandros and, because of a chance to visit a great hotel during shoulder season, Mykonos, on a quiet side of the island. She helps with the itinerary, the bookings and also sends destination guides, with restaurants, shops, beaches and other ideas about what to do in each place.
