If you know me, you know I <3 Cooper Raiff. He is so ridiculously good at what he does. He writes, directs, acts and edits Hal & Harper himself. Idk how he did all that, but it pays off and you feel the depth of his pain and heart and love in every frame. It’s a story about codependent siblings and their father and a lot of deep trauma. The adult actors play themselves as kids and it works perfectly. You will laugh and cry and feel really alive and inspired in the way only really good art makes you feel. Trust. If you have ever been in a family, ever really desperately missed somebody, ever needed someone, ever needed space—please watch this.

Seriously excellent cinema. I'm not even joking. Especially HSM 3 is groundbreaking and profound. I recommend you watch these movies the way film bros watch Interstellar or The Wolf of Wall Street. Take them completely seriously. They deserve it.

The six year old boy I've nannied for the past year. He is top 10 favorite people of all time. I asked him if he remembers his dreams when he wakes up, and he said, "I don't just dream at night, Lena. I dream during the day too. I'm dreaming right now!" Then he paused and asked, "Aren't you?" I don't know if I've ever heard anything more beautiful. I'm dreaming right now too, Benny!!!
