"Sharp, Twisted" by Yume Bitsu
•••
Yume Bitsu were a psychedelic post rock band from the PWN in the early 00s, and while all of their music is great - lush, hopeful, extended crescendos of guitar with pared back vocals - right in the middle of this EP is a tight, focused 4 minute power pop song that has been reverberating nonstop in my head for decades. Listen to it here.

The audio equivalent of the gradient the sky turns during the 30 minutes following sunset. There is no better song to put on while eating dinner outside with people you care about. Listen to it here.
