i used to feel dumb for asking what something was mid-conversation or admitting i’m not familiar with a person/place/thing so i’d just pretend i knew. but no one ever actually cares!!! simply saying “i don’t know what that is” sets you free and helps you learn new stuff

More than once, someone else in the conversation turns and says to me, “I also didn’t know! Thanks for asking.” So I always do this too, because admitting you don’t know something takes a little bit of courage 😅
