Uni Jetstream Ballpoint Pens

(1/?) I'm with @drosen7877. Fountain pens are my preferred writing instrument if I'm taking the time to put thoughts on paper and be contemplative. But it can be hard getting started since there are so many variations not just between pen types but between brands making the same kind of pen. Here are more recommendations that are good intro pens that won't break the bank and some can be even found at Staples, OfficeMax, etc. so that it gives you some room to play around to see what you prefer:

(2/?) Gel pens: 1. https://www.jetpens.com/Uni-ball-ZENTO-Gel-Pens... Like I said I'm a HUUUUUGE Uni stan. I will go to bat for their gel pens always. 2. https://www.jetpens.com/Zebra-Sarasa-Gel-Pens/c... My second go to gel pens are Zebra Sarasas. My only small complaint is that their 0.7mm tip feels noticeable thicker than the Uni pens of the same size and because I have relatively small handwriting it's just a bit too cramped for me. This is an incredibly close second to Uni. I think they're just a tad bit more comfortable.

(3/?) Rollerballs: 1. https://www.jetpens.com/Uni-ball-Vision-Needle-... I prefer needle rollerballs since the ink is usually wetter and I'm a faster writer so I can't stand smudging and with thinner points they usually dry faster. 2. https://www.jetpens.com/Uni-ball-Vision-Elite-R... These pens are so ubiquitous that you can even find them at Walmart. I personally don't really like these because they generally aren't that fast drying so if you're an impatient or very fast writer it's not my favorite. Also bleeds through and feathers on pretty thin paper. But it gets a lot of brownie points for just being everywhere and cheap.
