The Hand that Rocks the Cradle

Yes, there’s a ton of wonderful feminist theory that goes with this amazing movie. But, I mostly love it for its set design. Released in 1992, the film takes place in Seattle, in such a gorgeous house, it’s truly domestic bliss. Hard to believe all of those grunge musicians were just around the corner. The swarthy protagonist wears green and the blonde antagonist wears blue. The dad has a beard. The couple “make love”. Currently available on Netflix. Highly recommend.

Pink sweatsuit on a beach, aliens in Peru,a hot bod dancing her way onstage- Shirley MacLaine proves that there’s more to life after forty! This is amazing, if just for the costumes and kookiness. The entire two and a half hours available on YouTube.

A secret that everyone needs to know about. The funniest thing I’ve ever seen, I would like a campaign to make more, now that Cole Escola has become so successful from their play, Oh Mary! Made with Todd Oldham and Amy Sedaris. THE BEST.
