Empty cardboard boxes as cat toys
•••
My cats have never met an empty box they don’t immediately explore and jump into. (Also a great excuse to share a picture of my cat in a box).

Chew proof cords
•••
My cats don’t play with any toys I buy them but they love nothing more than to chew through my electronics cords. Bought this in desperation after one too many replacements and so far so good.

A good vet
•••
This place is a little wacky. Cats wandering around, a waiting room littered with cat paraphernalia. But the vet is so good with cats, everyone is incredible friendly, and it’s affordable. So glad I found this spot!

Silhouettes of my cats
•••
I’m not someone who wants a bunch of cat stuff on display just because I have cats. But I made an exception for these. My dear friend (who is also an animator for the Simpsons) has a side gig doing custom silhouettes. She did these of my cats for me. She’s also done my human loves in the form of my niece and nephews.

Automatic feeder
•••
My cats run very anxious. Feeding them multiple times a day helps. They also loved waking me up at 5am (or 4:30, 4:15, just early) to feed them. The auto feeder feeds them at 5am so I can sleep, and when I’m at work midday. Also can manually feed via the app. This one comes with a little collar that opens a lid to access the food because I have one cat that likes to steal the other’s food. You can get a cheaper one if this isn’t a problem with your cat.

Water fountain
•••
I had one of those plastic ones and it was awful and noisy. This one is silent, filters the water, and is easy to clean. Nice ceramic that looks pretty good. Plus it encourages my cats to hydrate.

Tucker Murphy Pet Wood Cat Tree
•••
Before my cats, I always said I would never get an ugly cat tree. Then I realized you kinda have to. I like the clean, minimalist design of this one. It’s held up well. I have to remove hair from it frequently so the white isn’t great, but the cats love it and it’s not a complete eyesore.
