Stopping by in Iceland? If you’re willing to spend money on a good meal, Rok is the place. Right across from the Leif Erikson monument, it is small with a good sized set menu as well as a la carte. The reindeer is the best one, but they are all so good Above at the top is the Reindeer and the second is a Salmon on sourdough appetizer.

minutiae: Real Life

If you were in on the BeReal trend, but then thought that it was less authentic and more social media-y than you’d like — then let me put you on to Minutiae. The App is simple: take a photo at a designated time during the day, get paired with one other random user and look through their moments as you’d look through your own. No likes, no comments, just a peek into another person’s life. The archive of your own moments creates a grid that you can then turn into a poster. The concept is great if your phone is on you. I work without my phone so I do have more blanks than pictures, but I’m still planning on seeing it through to the end.

Shelter Skip Day

Do this at least once in your life. I promise. These dogs are often kenneled and unable to be walked or explore for DAYS even WEEKS. This also gives them a chance to have people fall in love. My date today? Robert Robert (A#60534534) had lots of love, walks, and probably too many treats. He was only with me for three hours, but he had strangers donate his first toy! He got treats, toys, chews, and hopefully an interested home. All I had to do was walk and love him. He is a 5 yo sweetie, and I also think this is the perfect solo date, or the perfect addition to a hiking date. 10/10 recommend.
