The upstairs feels like a boat and the vibe is perfect. Mid-century Rome. The host’s grandfather previously lived here, and now they rent it out.
The location is incredible, but you don’t even really need to leave because there’s a really sweet courtyard with a kumquat tree. It’s not one of the flashy options that feels like a once in a lifetime stay (and features older house quirks, like a leaky shower and needing to use a blow dryer in the kitchen because of outlets), but it’s easy to pretend that this is just your own home in Monteverde.
