Japanese meets Peruvian food. Some faborites…cebiche (Catch of the day, tiger milk, aji amarillo, cancha, sweet potato), smoky grilled thinly sliced octopus (Parrillera sauce, lemon soy, chalaquita) and my favorite… the sushi tasting… expect some surprise ingredients such as toasted quinoa and parmesan.

Best Thai food not just in LBC, but in LA… no reservations, so either show up early or try to go on a weekday instead. The vibe is fun and casual and the dishes from their variety of curries, to the khao soi are mouth watering. Don’t skip the Thai Bua Loi for desert… sesame ball in coconut milk.

When we moved to Long Beach, we mourned the loss of our favorite sourdough from Gjusta in Venice. But when Nonna opened near us, we found no only our new favorite sourdough loaf, but a plethora of patries… I have a thing for their everything croissant with cream cheese filling and their ratatouille hand pie. Don’t miss their incredible lasagna to go in their fridge… They also have a nice patio where you can eat breakaway and lunch during the week and dinner on weekends… their pasta is insane!
