so many interesting, affordable recipes. cooked a lot of this book. love the salt and vinegar potato soup! lots of veggies but not marketed as a "veg-focused" book. strong voice and pics.

i like my cookbooks endlessly cookable, such that i have high confidence that upon randomly opening the book, the recipe will appeal to me. i like recipes that are mostly approachable but have a little zing. so i test drive all cookbooks through the library before i buy any. this one passes the test with flying colors.
