The Fermata by Nicholson Baker
•••
Firstly : it is sexy in a very quirky way. Surprised myself on the subway - Read this at home pls. Also Nicholson Baker has an incredible imagination at the same time as having a sharp eye on minutia. It’s like he writes the way that r crumb draws what he sees. With this uncanny and familiar bent that is recognizable and also funny. Soothing reading while also exciting ;)
