I have been a huge fan of Tom Wesselmann ever since I saw this piece in the Chazen art museum in Madison. Wesselmann’s ability to create something so painterly yet so solid in steel is incredible. Definitely recommend checking out his other works as well!!!

I love this jewelers saw so much, use it almost every day. I got this saw as a graduation gift from my high school metals teacher. Those classes in high school were fundamental to my experience as an artist and metalsmith. Not only is this saw special to me for nostalgia reasons, it’s also a fantastic saw frame!! keeps blade tension super well.

Anybody who knows me can testify to my intense love of pomegranates! They are a reoccurring motif in my art practice, whether it be in jewelry works, linocuts, or glass vessels. As long as I can remember my sister and I have sat together and cut them open, taking each seed out one at a time together. This ritual has become almost meditative for me, as well as incredibly nostalgic. Pomegranates also have immense symbolism and cultural significance to me as a Jewish person. Equal parts beautiful, nostalgic, symbolic, and delicious :)
