I'm deeply nostalgic for Balmorhea in West Texas, which is the world's largest spring-fed swimming pool. At over 25 ft deep and over an acre long, you can actually go scuba diving in it (and yes there are turtles and fishes). I grew up visiting here as a kid and it's truly an amazing experience.

Just a general upvote for spring fed pools. I used to live around the corner from Barton Springs in Austin and I’ve thought about it every hot day since then.

Not from West Texas so visiting here was a magical experience, from the big turtles swimming in the pool, fishies coming up to your feet, and the dryness of the desert. Lovely oasis!
