Takes a minute to get into it, but if you push past page 100, it easily becomes one of my favorite sci fi reads of all times. So good.

“The 1st book in the Silo series. I loved this one. He lost me in the sequels. I also had high hopes for the Apple+ series- but it diverged from the books in a way I found betraying of the source material. Read this one with the knowledge that the later books really fall off.”
