NOAA's Sanctsound Project

Sanctsound monitors the sounds of US Marine Sanctuaries, and actively shares the data they collect. Why the Navy is also involved, I don't want to think too hard about. But this page has sample clips of all the species they've recorded. It's a really lovely thing to share with kids and adults. Buckle up for the midshipman, a deepthroat-like humming fish. My favorite is the blue whale call, which I'd never heard before (I didn't know that we can't hear blue whales! Their recordings have to be enhanced. So cool.) And the killer whale clips, they really do sound like the bad girls of the seas. Good for them.
