huge perioral dermatitis hack ! wash your face in WARM water, never hot. lukewarm even! i realized hot water (particularly hot showers where i washed my face in the shower) were a huge trigger for me.
bonus hack is applying a thick layer of moisturizer on your face before a shower or sauna to protect your skin. this allows me to boil myself in the shower without a flare up :)

prescription azaleic acid (finacea 15%) and mineral only sunscreen are my others must dos. chemical sunscreen filters frequently trigger ppl!

Ok I have to double check but Im pretty sure I was prescribed pimecrolimus cream? What do we know about that? I need to look up azaleic, it sounds strong and good. DEF have flare ups after using random sunscreen!!

i’ve never used that but did a quick search and seems like it’s pretty good for calming flare ups! azaleic acid is more preventative i would say (although i do still use it on a flare) and also has additional benefits for skin texture, acne, fading dark marks etc. she’s my do it all girl.
