Hindsight (Not Pictured) is an installation at Mass MoCa by James Turrell, famously known for his colorful presentations of light e.g. Skyspaces are his structures with open windows into the sky, where immersive programmed lighting affects your perception of color. The significance of Hindsight piece lies within his use of the least amount of light possible. After walking through a dark corridor, you arrive in a space seemingly void of all light, that is, until about 15 minutes in when your eyes finally adjust to the ghostly shape of light he’s ‘hidden’ in there.
