East of Eden, by John Steinbeck

Since I basically disappeared for most of the summer, I spent a lot of time inside reading. As a result, I’ve read a whopping 14 books in the past five months, which might be a new record for me. There were a lot of bangers, but this was by far the best. I’m usually more of a thriller/fantasy/horror reader, so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this. The prose was beautiful, and I was really captivated by the multigenerational story. Everything I read before and after is now filed under B.E.E and A.E.E.
